Briquetting Presses
Briquette wood and MDF dust for recycling and recovery through biomass and waste
to energy. Bergmann Direct supply briquette machines, dust extraction systems and silos to turn wood and MDF dust into briquettes for biomass fuel.
Wood and MDF dust can be densified to between 10% and 15% of its original volume using a briquetting press. Wood briquettes can be sold on for use in wood burners. MDF dust can now be recycled in the increasingly important biomass industry. New biomass plants in the UK will accept MDF briquettes to burn unlike the old commercial incinerators.

The briquetter can be loaded by dust extraction system typically directly into the machine or via a silo (see right).
