  • Dumfries & Galloway | Fully Automatic Baler

Zero Waste to Landfill has been a reality in Scotland since 2014 and Dumfries & Galloway Council are building a number of ‘Zero Waste Parks’ to collect kerbside collected materials and household waste as well as acting as a disposal point for householders. The first Zero Waste Park to be built was in Stranraer and Bergmann Direct were successful in winning the tender to supply one of three fully automatic balers to bale dry recyclables and RDF.

This 60 tonne 600V fully automatic bales cardboard, plastics, predominantly HDPE (milk bottles and PET, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The baler incorporates a PET bottle perforator to improve the baling and maximize the weights of plastic and is loaded by a JCB telehandler with a bucket.
