Aberdeenshire Council has officially taken delivery of its third Bergmann Electric Mobile Roll Packer (RP EV), marking a major milestone in replacing its legacy diesel fleet with zero emission technology.
Operating across Household Waste Recycling Centres in the North East of Scotland, equipment must withstand exceptionally harsh conditions and freezing winter temperatures. Despite these demanding local weather conditions, the electric roll packer has proven its durability and impressive battery performance. Local site teams report achieving up to three full days of operation on a single charge, drastically cutting operational downtime and eliminate scope-1 diesel emissions on site.
When it comes to powering up, the machine features a simple 10 hour full charge cycle, allowing it to comfortably recharge overnight off-peak and be ready for immediate action every morning.
